May is off to a big start. The top tier domain Slots.com is reported by Techcrunch to have sold for $5.5 million.
At Moniker's live auction, both a conference event and simultaneously open for online bidding, Dating.com fetched $1.75 million, and BoardGames.com was another notable sale for $450,000.
CEO of Moniker, Monte Cahn, was interviewed by DirectNavigation.com, and made a number of interesting comments about the transaction. Monte mentioned that in the last 3 auctions more sales are now being made to end users than in all previous years, and that Photo.com had interest from 3 buyers.
