The premier domain name for the eco movement is up for auction at the upcoming DomainFest in Santa Monica on Feb. 2nd. The event will include both live event and online bidding. Pre-bidding is now open.
The listing broker is Cyntia King of Namequiver, a division of Marksmen, who sold Social.com last June for $2.6 million.
According to the fact sheet, eco.org received nearly a quarter million visits in 2011, has a google page rank 7 out of 10, and represents an exact keyword search term match of over 20 million monthly organic searches for the keyword 'eco'. Other significant domains listed in the auction include: work.com, security.com, juice.com, jackpot.com, host.com, and qr.com.
